The story of the Mayflower is taught around the world; this historic voyage all started with a small group of Puritans seeking freedom from religious persecution. These records provide the names and details of all known 132 passengers and crew of the Mayflower.

There were 102 passengers and 30 crew aboard the Mayflower.

This collection only includes those that actually sailed on the Mayflower, it does not include other members of the Puritan group that stayed in England or the Netherlands.

The Mayflower spent ten weeks at sea and the Mayflower Compact was created and signed while on board. It established a rudimentary form of democracy for the new settlement.

The vessel arrived in America and set anchor in present-day Cape Cod, at Provincetown Harbor, on November 11, 1620. The settlers were forced to endure their first winter unprepared; as a result, only about half of them survived those first months.
