Leet's Directory was one of the first nineteenth century Irish directories to appear in print. This is the second edition published in 1814 that superseded and corrected the original 1812 edition.
The information in the book is published in columns listing, in alphabetical order, the place names of around 20,000 locations across the country. For each place, a variety of information is included, including the name of county, the post town and the principal resident (usually the local landlord). Often some descriptive information is included which is important for helping identify places.
There are 8,800 people listed in this publication.
